Highland Park Bowl, originally opened in 1927, is the oldest bowling alley in Los Angeles and a stunning example of the city’s history preserved by the 1933 Group. Located at 5621 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90042 the space was initially designed as a multi-use entertainment venue and served as a lively social hub for decades. After falling into disrepair, the 1933 Group undertook an extensive restoration in 2016, reviving its vintage charm with carefully preserved Art Deco elements, original bowling lanes, and hand-painted murals.

Today, Highland Park Bowl offers more than just bowling—it’s a fully immersive experience. The restoration brought back not only the original charm but also introduced a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. The venue now hosts live music, adding to its atmosphere and offering guests a unique blend of vintage Los Angeles with modern entertainment. Its meticulous attention to historical detail and lively environment make it a cultural hotspot in the city.
In addition to bowling, Highland Park Bowl offers artisanal pizza, craft cocktails, and live music, making it a multifaceted destination for social gatherings. The preservation of its original design, along with the modern updates, ensures it continues to be a cherished part of LA’s entertainment history while offering a fun, retro-inspired experience.
